To maintain the quality and discipline of the course, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Age: 8 years and above
(No upper age limit — music welcomes all!)
Students below 14 years must have parental/guardian consent.
Must have completed basic school education (Class 3 or above).
Ability to read and write any regional language (Assamese, Hindi, or English) is preferred.
No prior training is required for admission to the Foundation Level (Year 1).
Candidates with previous experience or certificates (from Bhatkhande, GLSMI, or other boards) may be eligible for direct entry into higher levels, subject to audition or evaluation.
Fill out the GLSMI Vocal Course Admission Form (online or offline).
Attend a basic vocal assessment or interview conducted by the institute.
Submit the following:
Recent passport-size photo
Copy of ID proof (Aadhaar / Birth Certificate / School ID)
Previous music certificate (if any)
The course will be conducted in English, Assamese, and Hindi as per student convenience.
Minimum 75% attendance in both theory and practical classes is mandatory to appear in annual examinations.
